Elena Gold Arabesque Ring, Diamond or Pearl

14k gold arabesque shaped ring set with rose-cut diamonds or pearls.

This ring has an elegant and arabesque shape, recalling the scrolls and flourishes of medieval Moor-ish design in its silhouette.  We cast this ring in recycled 14 Karat yellow gold and set it with 5 rose cut stones in graduated sizes.   This ring is our original design, but was inspired by a component we found in a Victorian piece of jewelry in England.  

We chose the rose cut shape as it is a centuries-old shape and can be found often in the Georgian and Victorian jewelry we so love.  Each rose cut stone is a flat-backed, domed stone, also known as a cabochon, which is cut with between roughly three and 24 facets.The facets are distributed around the dome in the style of a rosebud and can appear to be both symmetrical and asymmetrical.  

MATERIALS: 14K Recycled Yellow Gold, Natural & Non-Conflict Diamonds.

DIAMONDS:  Rose Cut, five total stones, graduated sizes.

PEARLS: Five graduated natural split seed pearls.
